What is the cost
The cost of consultation is £195
Everyone in Scotland is entitled to free eyecare. This includes a full primary Eye Test every 1- 2 years, and also supplementary eye tests as required for additional problems which arise, including symptoms of dry eye.
However, many dry eye sufferers benefit from more time and specialist technology to diagnose and treat their condition effectively with longer lasting results. There are many additional tests which we include as part of our dry eye consultation, the costs of which are not covered by the NHS.
As part of the consultation, we will assess suitability for any advanced treatments which we offer for dry eye management.
